'Friends' star cast attend Matthew Perry's funeral | All Stars Are Crying

She shared with Entertainment Tonight that Perry was very pleased and upbeat about his next initiatives and that he had a significant plan to turn his life story into a movie.
He stated that he wished to help more people who were battling with challenges that were comparable to his own and that he wanted to share his experience and his recovery from addiction. In addition to this, he stated that he had already decided upon the actor who would play him in the biography when he was a younger version of himself. And do you have any idea who it was? Who else but the one and only Zac Efron?
You read and understood that correctly. Zac Efron was the actor of choice to portray Matthew Perry in the upcoming biography. He stated that he had previously worked with Efron on a film titled "17 Again," in which Efron portrayed the younger version of Perry's character. He claimed that he was going to approach Efron to do the job shortly and that he was really thrilled about it. He also said that Efron was quite enthused about it.
Now, I don't know what you think, but if I were casting Zac Efron in the role of Matthew Perry, I'd think he'd be an excellent option. They are both extremely skilled actors that exude a lot of charisma, and their facial features and mannerisms are somewhat similar to one another. In addition to that, we witnessed in the film 17 Again that they had excellent screen chemistry.
Matthew Perry's passing has tragically put a stop to all of his hopes, aspirations, and plans, including the production of this biopic, and we will never get the chance to see it come to reality. It's such a pity, because I believe that it would have been an excellent movie and a fitting tribute to his incredible career and the legacy he has left behind.
Matthew Perry was widely regarded as one of the most successful and well-liked performers of his period. His smart and caustic sense of humor made millions of Friends viewers laugh during his starring role on the show for all ten of its seasons, which ran from 1994 to 2004.
