WATCH: Dangerous Heat Leading Into the Weekend in North Carolina, Tracking the Tropics

The heat wave continues to bring high humidity and upper 80s to the Piedmont Triad and the Foothills with 90s expected by the weekend. We are tracking the tropics as a system in the Atlantic may develop into a depression. The storm will bring a high risk of rip currents along the beaches in the Carolinas south to Florida's coast.
