Singapore is the most expensive
Singapore is the most expensive city in the world, so we were totally shocked by how much we could do for $100 each in Singapore! Singapore is an expensive travel destination, but this city-state is packed with amazing things for tourists to do. Our favourites were Arab Street, the observatory at the top of the Marina Bay Sands, and the Supertree Grove.
The key to exploring Singapore on a budget is to take the metro (which is amazing) and to find an affordable accommodation! We opted to stay in a hostel during our stay in Singapore and that was so helpful to keep our costs low during the day. Surprisingly, lots of awesome tourist activities in Singapore are free, so you could spend a day in the city on an even smaller budget if you need!
To do some of the top tourist attractions though, you're going to have to be prepared to spend some money! Even though we were on a budget of $100 each, we still managed to visit Arab Street, Haji Lane, Sultan Mosque, Marina Bay Sands, Sky Park Observation Deck, Gardens By the Bay, the Cloud Forest, Flower Dome, and the incredible light show at the Supertree Grove. This was a PACKED day, and we were really surprised we were able to do all this and eat delicious food all for under $100 each!
Whether or not you are looking to travel to Singapore on a budget, we hope you find this vlog useful! It covers all of the best things to do in Singapore. You could use this video as a guide for what to do with one day in Singapore if you are short on time during your visit to the country. If you have more than one day, you could definitely spread out some of the activities we did in this video! You could easily spend a half day just wandering through Arab Street, Haji Lane, and visiting the Sultan Mosque. There is so much to do and see in Singapore, you can't possibly get bored!
