Full Interview of Punjabi singer and star actor Gippy Grewal with Saurabh Dwivedi at The Lallantop. Gippy is known for his Punjabi films like Carry on Jatta, Jihne Mera Dil Luteya, Carry on Jatta 2, Ardaas, Kaptaan, Subedar Joginder Singh, Mirza - The Untold Story, Singh Vs Kau, Mel Karade Rabba and a Hindi movie Lucknow Central. His latest Punjabi release is Manje Bistre 2 (2019). In this long chat Gippy talks of his struggle from 3 parallel day-jobs in Canada to waiting tables at a Delhi hotel to slinging news papers with his wife Ravneet Kaur - all to collect money for his first album and see it tank after release. Gippy then goes on to talk his friendship with rapper Badshah, working with Honey Singh (his rise and fall punctuated with a rehab visit), the so called social media war with Diljit Dosanjh and objectification of women in Punjabi songs.
