From last few months a lot of people are in search of Delhi Meerut Expressway latest update.

So here I am with Delhi Meerut Expressway Latest News. Finally the most awaited Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) is opened for the public from today onwards (April,1 2021).Now you can cover the distance between Delhi to Meerut in just 50 minutes which was appox 2 hours earlier. The total length of the route is 60 km. It is not only beneficial for people travelling to and fro Delhi and Meerut but also for the people from cities like Ghaziabad, Modinagar and Muradnagar.

In this video I will be showing you Delhi Meerut Expressway progress. Not only I will show you the first look of completed view of Delhi Meerut Expressway but will also show you Delhi Meerut Expressway Drone View.

The whole project was divided into 5 phases. According to Delhi Meerut Expressway current status, phase 1 and phase 3 were already in operation. But now the remaining Delhi Meerut expressway phase 2 and Delhi Meerut expressway phase 4 & 5 are also opened for the people from April, 1 2021.

Delhi Meerut Expressway is the India’s widest road. It has 2 bridges, 4 underpasses and 5 flyovers.

Phase 1: Nizamuddin Bridge to Delhi-UP border: This particular section is 8.7 km long, 14 Lane (6 Lane Expressway, 8 Lane Normal Highway, not only that but it also has 2.5 m Bicycle Track on Both the Sides) with 4 flyovers and 3 vehicle underpass. : Our current Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurated it in May,2018.

Phase 2: Delhi Meerut Expressway phase 2 connects Delhi/Up Boarder and Dasna. It is of 19 km and has 14 lanes (6 express, 8 local).Delhi Meerut Expressway inauguration will also be done on April 1,2021.

Phase 3: It connects Dasna and Hapur. The distance between these is 22 km.in September 2019. It has 8 lanes.

Phase 4: It connects Dasna and Meerut on Meerut Bypass. It is 32km long way and has 6 lanes.

Phase 5: Delhi Meerut Expressway Phase 5 has 4 lanes and covers 14.60km distance between Zainuddinpur to Jahidpur.

Delhi Meerut Expressway Speed Limit: While using Delhi-Meerut Expressway you must follow the guidelines given by NHAI regarding speed limit. Maximum speed limit is 80kmph for heavy vehicles and 100 kmph for all other vehicles.

Delhi Meerut Expressway Toll Plaza: You need not to pay any toll charge for the first week since Aprli 1,2021. As the rate of toll is yet not decided by Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highway.

Also in latest Delhi Meerut Expressway News ,NHAI announced that they are working on the latest technology to making tolling system more convenient. They said they are coming up with ANPR(automatic number plate reader) system. In which toll collection will be done by reading vehicles registration plates by optical character reader.

Pending Work: Convience centers like washroom, foor courts, rest rooms, petrol pumps are yet to be operational. The anticipated Delhi Meerut Expressway completion date was March, 2021. And with the valiant efforts of NHAI it is now finally opened to serve the Public on April 1, 2021. It worked day and night to meet Delhi Meerut Expressway Deadline.
