China’s Aviation Loses 400 Billion in 3 Years; Public Can’t Afford Travel, Shanghai Airport Empty

In the past three years, the Chinese aviation industry has been severely impacted by the pandemic, suffering heavy losses to a staggering 400 billion yuan. This loss is equivalent to the price of nearly 700 commercial aircraft. In 2020 alone, the industry reported a loss of 97 billion yuan, followed by 84 billion yuan in 2021, and 216 billion yuan in 2022.
