Amplifier would not turn on
This new series of Amplifier available from January 2015 does not incorporate a toroidal transformer in its design hence the unit is very light weight.
The Amplifier has a small start up PCB which switches power to the self contained PSU / Pre Amp / Power Amp module.
The module is compact and utilises high density multilayer surface mount technology.
There is a cooling fan which does not run continuously and turns on automatically if the module is running hot.
The fault with Amplifier was due to the protection IC U1 being defective on the start up circuit board UPC1237
