SaxPedalGuy #11: Unboxing A Custom Alibaba Chinese Tenor Sax
After being surprised at how much I liked (and still like) my Chinese Ebay curved soprano sax from the last unboxing video, I decided to try it again with a custom tenor sax from Alibaba.com! The Xingyue musical instrument factory in Binzhou Shangdong China was the first to answer my inquiry and after a strangely flirty sales chat with their sales representative Vicky Gong, I had ordered a vintage finished, Mark VI copy tenor with a custom tiger engraving and a smiley face for a logo for just over $600 after shipping (Is anyone else tired of playing their multi-thousand dollar pro horn at $50 bar gigs?). A month later the horn was on my doorstep. In this video I open the box and test it out in classic SaxPedalGuy fashion.
