Margaret Bonds: Troubled Water

The poet Maya Angelou described "Troubled Water" as one of Margaret Bonds masterpieces. Based on the spiritual "Wade in the Water", Margaret Bonds conveys the power, and the emotional history of a form of communication used between slaves.
