►Plot summary: In the late 1920s, in order to fulfill his master's wish, Chen Zhen (played by Jet Li) went to Japan to learn advanced technology. He fell in love with the Japanese girl Mitsuko Yamada (played by Shinobu Nakayama). Due to the death of his master Huo Yuanjia, Chen Zhen returned to China to assist his master's son Huo Ting'en (played by Qian Xiaohao) in managing the affairs of the Jingwu Sect. Unexpectedly, it aroused his jealousy and triggered a power struggle between the brothers.
On the other hand, Chen Zhen traces the cause of his master's death and suspects that Japanese military officer Fujita Tsuyoshi (played by Billy Zhou) secretly used chronic poison to kill Fearless. Chen Zhen asked a doctor to conduct an autopsy and confirmed that the master had indeed died of poisoning. Fearing that the conspiracy would be exposed, Fujita killed people and framed the blame, and launched a series of vicious battles. Soon, Fujita challenged the Jingwu Sect, and he induced Fumio Koshi, the head coach of the Japanese Black Dragon Association, to challenge the Jingwu School. On the day of the competition, the two sides launched a thrilling decisive battle.
