How to Do Automation with Voicelive 3 and SetList Maker

Here is the tutorial I was (finally) able to do on How to do Automation with the VL3 and the iPad using SetList Maker application.

Couple of things I did not mentioned:

- You need SetList Maker ($9.99) and also enable/buy "Midi send and receive" and "Record Automation tracks" ($3.99 each)
- You need a usb to midi cable. Alternative you can use a usb to mini usb or midi interface. Set up your VL3 accordingly.
- You need a Camera Connection Kit. It is best to use the Apple one as the generic has shown malfunctions with this application.
- Hit or Step can't be added as a preset as they create different data depending of what you want them to do on your preset.
- This tutorial works great for any Effect that can be just turn on/off.
- This tutorial works with preset commands, as to automatically send preset information within automation so the VL3 will change to the correct preset as needed by the song you are to perform.
- Automation works when you have a backing track as a guide.
