This was a simple camp
This was a simple camp setup with hammock and tarp in high winds, rain and a ton of thunder and lightning. I managed to capture some of the storm but with lighting virtually everywhere and through the night, didn't want to risk being exposed or destroying my equipment. The rain was pelting a times and the winds likely topped 30 MPH. Managed to stay nice and dry in my hammock and tarp setup though and no trees fell on my head.
Dinner was amazing with steaks cooked over the open flame with a nice smokey flavour. At least the mosquitos and black flies were kept at bay.
After the first storm rolled through, the humidity climbed and the lake was still. This lasted for a couple hours, but then it was rock and roll time! Rained all night with the sky lit up all around me.
