In this video I discuss the step by step operation steps for an extended arm lift. The patient had previously lost 60 kg.
Excess skin on the back of the upper arms is a common issue after extreme weight loss. In some cases, the lax skin is present from the elbow to the armpit and down to the lateral portion of the chest wall.
Why is excess arm skin a problem?
Cosmetically, the excess skin gives the arms a poorly toned and bulky appearance. This frequently leads the patient to shy away from short sleeve clothes. Chafing and rashes from the skin rubbing can also be quite uncomfortable.
What happens during the operation?
