From making anonymous work in small-town Ontario to YouTube stardom, Jared Keeso never imagined he would create and star in a hit TV series — but with the right collaborators, a lot of hard work and a little luck, he has created a national sensation in the form of the CraveTV comedy Letterkenny.

After spending years living and dying by casting calls in Toronto and Los Angeles, Jared decided to take charge of his career: he developed a unique brand of comedy, drawing inspiration from his hometown of Listowel, Ontario. Jared lives by the simple code he learned growing up: "make your money, give back to Canada, work hard and do your best."

Letterkenny has received eight 2017 Canadian Screen Award nominations. Watch the 2017 Canadian Screen Awards Sunday, March 12 at 9 AT/9:30 NT on CBC TV or stream them cbc.ca/canadianscreenawards at 8PM ET.
