We tend to think of
We tend to think of the world as a set of 196 cultures , one per country on the map
But the reality is very different!. The world has THOUSANDS of nations and cultures inside the borders of the named countries in the map, each one with their own traditions, dances, language, food, etc.
In this video I’m just showing you the Dungan People, and they are extremely lovely people, they invited me into their house, they offered me shelter, they prepared food for me, etc, everything for free just because of the way they are
Some countries, like Kyrgyzstan, treat the stateless nations within their borders with respect and allow them to practice their traditions and lifestyle. In this case, Dungan people speak their own language and practice Islam.
Dungan People is just one of more than 3000 Stateless nations that exist around the world. Even inside the borders of Kyrgyzstan, I met people from other Stateless nations like Uighurs and Tatars.
I find that discovering these more unknown cultures is as interesting and exciting as learning about the most popular ones, and I want to encourage you to learn about them, because humans are beautiful
