"Wolverine Writers" panel discussion featuring:

Deborah Holdship: Deborah is the editor of Michigan Today, a digital monthly magazine distributed by email to about 475,000 U-M graduates, faculty, and staff worldwide. She also produces the podcast “Listen in, Michigan,” which she describes as “an audio postcard to alumni” from their old Ann Arbor stomping grounds. Deborah joined the University in 2007 as the editorial manager in marketing & communications at the Ross School of Business. Prior to that, she worked at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and before that, as a reporter and editor at Billboard magazine. One of her most thrilling experiences in the entertainment business was attending a listening party for a Paul McCartney album inside the iconic Capitol Records studios – and meeting Paul.

Lara Zielin: Lara is the Associate Director for Advancement at the Bentley Historical Library, overseeing both fundraising and communications for the archive. Twice each year she produces the library's award-winning magazine, Collections, while also managing the library's digital storytelling through newsletters, multiple websites, and social media. Lara is a published fiction author, a true crime addict, and is always on the hunt for strange, spooky, and unusual items in collections at the Bentley and beyond.

Kim Clarke. Kim has managed the U-M Heritage Project since its launch in 2013, and most recently joined the Bentley Historical Library as senior writer. The Heritage Project is an award-winning collection of narrative stories exploring the University’s past. She previously led communications for U-M’s bicentennial and was director of executive communications for University President Mary Sue Coleman. She also worked as a reporter and editor at several newspapers in Michigan, including covering U-M for the Ann Arbor News.
