Members of the Arab Group held a media briefing concerning a draft resolution put forward by the United States, which was ultimately vetoed by the UN Security Council on Friday. The resolution emphasized the urgent need for an immediate and sustained ceasefire to safeguard civilians on all fronts, facilitate crucial aid delivery, and endorse ongoing negotiations between Israel and Hamas fighters aimed at achieving a lasting resolution to the conflict, contingent upon the release of all hostages.
