One-Shot rising bits used in a structured text Studio 5000 V32 environment are functionally the use usages are a ladder logic implementation, however, they are programmed in a structured text format.

Using an OSRI Instruction for the base of this video, the OSRI Instruction is very standard in structured text programming.

Being able to create the instruction then used the input bit of the one-shot as a trigger based upon a digital input then having the one-shot output bit trigger a count in the example that we showed in this PLC training video.

It looks like this:

//One-Shot Example
//Control the one-shot based on the input status

OneShotCount_Trigger.InputBit:= D0I;
OSRI(OneShotCount_Trigger);

With the double-backslash being the comment section then instruction being used below that.

Of course, the example we just gave is just the instruction & the input control of the one-shot.

Notice that the new live watch feature helps you see the values of the structured text program in Studio 5000 V32.

Great feature Rockwell!......Thanks for the hard work.
