In this video we will learn the names of different colours in French, but this time in feminine form. The feminine form is used when the colour describes a noun which is feminine.

E.g.:
a white table = une table blanche (not blanc)
a green apple = une pomme verte (not vert)
a purple dress = une rob violette (not violet)
etc.

If you compare this video to "colours in French (1)", you will notice that many colours are actually exactly the same as in masculine form.

E.g.:
a red rose = une rose rouge
an orange tulip = une tulipe orange
a yellow flower = une fleur jaune

Some sound exactly the same as in masculine form, however they are spelled differently.

E.g.:
a blue table = une table bleue (not bleu)
a black chair = une chaise noire (not noire)

Here is the translation of the colours in feminine form seen in this video:

bleue = blue
blanche = white
rouge = red
orange = orange
rose = pink
jaune = yellow
noire = black
verte = green
marron = brown
violette = purple
beige = beige
grise = grey

If you want to review the colours in their masculine form, please watch "Colours in French (1)".
