Super Dio AF28 to increase the top speed of old moped bikes
I bought a used 2-stroke motorized scooter (DIO AF28) and the acceleration was good, but the maximum speed was only 43km/h.
The belt, weight rollers and muffler looked suspicious, so I replaced them.
The carburetor was also overhauled (disassembled and cleaned).
I'm not particularly knowledgeable about bikes, and I only have the knowledge I've crammed in beforehand.
There is a lot of information on AF27 but a little less on AF28.
The AF28 has disc brakes, but these two cars seem to be almost identical.
What's the difference otherwise?

I started Sunday morning and did it until it got dark, but in the end I couldn't get it done in the end of the day even with that much time.
After all, it was finally completed on Wednesday night.

My top speed was over 60 km/h on a flat surface, about 65.
This car seems to have a limiter on the drivetrain, so there is no need to replace the CDI.
It can go over 60km/h just by tweaking the drivetrain.
However, it is a little weak on the slope and I would like to have more speed on the slope.
I want to sacrifice a little bit of top speed and tune it to be stronger on hills.
I'll try to change the weight of the weight roller.

2019-12-01 Addendum.
I pulled out 3 of the 6 weight rollers and ran with them...
Accelerate down!
Top speed down!
It's getting louder!
The extreme weight reduction of the weight roller was no good after all (laughs)
You're right.
They're sold in 0.5 gram increments and this DIO is 51 grams in 8.5 x 6 pieces.
If you make it to 25.5 grams at once, that's not good, right?
It's too light to shift gears at all (^_^;;)

As for the weight roller, Kitako's page is easy to understand.
