On September 11, 1979 former Red Sox ace Luis Tiant returns to Fenway Park for the first time wearing the pinstripes of the archrival New York Yankees. Tiant ends up squaring off against his former teammate and good friend Carl Yastrzemski, who is in quest of his 3,000 hit.
