Certainly one of the most diverse instruments available for the trumpet/cornet player; this Conn is often labeled as a trumpet and also heralded as a cornet. With tremendous options for diversity of sound, one simply can do no better than this instrumnet. We begin with a Reeves 41M cornet piece, then a Reeves 41C, a Bach (no letter) 7, and lastly the great Curry Vintage Cornet. Notice the tone as it switches from a lead trumpet sound with the first mouthpiece to a breathy, big dark tone with the last mouthpiece. Enjoy! :)
Note: Lot's more info on this and other vintage Conn horns at the excellent 'Conn Loyalist' site: https://cderksen.home.xs4all.nl/index...
Correction: the serial number of this cornet, 907,XXX, more likely places the date of manufacture around 1961, possibly '62: Not 1958 as mentioned in this video.
