How add a watermark in Excel | Microsoft

Microsoft Excel doesn’t come with a built-in watermark button. But you can use an image, like a logo, to create a watermark. Learn how to insert a watermark into an Excel document in this video tutorial from Microsoft.

Create a watermark

1. Select Insert, Header & Footer.

2. Tap on the header and on the Header & Footer Elements tab on the ribbon, click Picture.

3. Select one of the available options to insert your image. In the header, you’ll see & [Picture].

4. Tap anywhere outside the header to see the watermark.

Format the watermark picture

1. Click the header in the spreadsheet.

2. On the Header & Footer Elements tab, click Format Picture.

3. In the Format Picture dialog box, select Picture tab, Color, select an option.
