November is the perfect time for picking dandelion greens. This plant is so well-known and has some colourful folk names: Pee in the Bed, Lions Teeth, Fairy Clock, Clock, Clock Flowers, Clocks and Watches, Farmers Clocks, Old Mans Clock, One Clock, Wetweed, Blowball, Cankerwort, Lionstooth, Priests Crown, Puffball, Swinesnout, White Endive, Wild Endive and Pissa-a-beds.
In this short video I explain how to pick dandelion leaves and when is the best time to do so. I also talk about the different varieties and shapes of this wild edible plant and give some tips on how to eat dandelion as a salad green.
Note how even foragers aren't immune to runny noses caused by cold weather :)
