How To Fix AC Not Cooling | How To Unclog AC Drain Line (DIY)

How to Unclog Condensate Drain Line (DIY).

One day our AC suddenly stopped working.
I set the thermostat to 76 deg but the temperature inside the house is reading at 85 deg.

Steps:
1. First, turn OFF the circuit breaker.
2. Check the float switch ( this switch turns off the AC if there is water or if AC drain is clogged).
3. Open the filter cover and evaporator cover using a screw driver.
4. Check for any water in the evaporator pan or any debris/sediments.
5. Use a wet or dry vacuum to remove any water or debris from the drain pan or pipe. (Clean thoroughly to make sure its clogged free).
6. Locate the other end of the drain line (usually located outside the house)
and vacuum/suction to remove any blockage.
7. Check drain pipe if it's draining by pouring water.
8. Pour bleach (at least 1 cup)  in drain pipe to prevent or reduce future clogging.
9. Return evaporator cover by using a screw driver.
10. Change AC filter. Return filter cover.
11. Turn ON the circuit breaker.
12. Turn ON AC - adjust thermostat.
