Logical fallacies are mistakes in reasoning that cause arguments to be weak.

This fallacy is also known as the Argumentum ad Antiquitatem (meaning appealing to antiquity, or the fact that something has been done for a long time).

Common logical fallacies are begging the question, ad hominem, appeal to tradition, appeal to ignorance, red herring, appeal to illegitimate authority, bandwagon, and post hoc ergo propter hoc.
