This video will demonstrate how to install our electric floor heating mats in bathrooms with tile floors. Our TempZone Flex Rolls help save time with their ease of installation and are wet-location listed, making them ideal for bathrooms.

Always start with a sketch of the space so we can design a custom SmartPlan for the installation. After receiving the product, test with a digital multimeter to ensure the resistance results on your meter match the product resistance on the specifications label. Lastly, use the circuit check to help alert you to any damage that may occur during installation
Lay the mats out according to the Smartplan, cutting and turning where needed. NOTE: Do not cut the heating wire, only the fiberglass mesh. The wire should be installed facing down. After dry-fitting the mats, secure them using a staple gun through the mesh. You can also use hot glue to secure the mat to the subfloor.
Next, install the sensor wire - it should be installed within an open loop of the heating mat and connects back to the thermostat.
Pour self-leveling over the secured system. Once it is cured enough to walk on, install tile on top. Be careful when using tile levelers to avoid damaging the heating wire beneath.
