R1300GS Broken Pannier update - part 2 of our broken pannier issue!

Follow up of our journey to get our BMW R1300GS panniers fixed!  Sadly this is a global issue of the R1300GS panniers and no formal fix has been identified as of yet!  The solution they have suggested isn't really a proper solution in my opinion but please feel free to comment below if you would be happy with it!
