Molybdenum Disulfide (also just known as "Moly") is an extremely common solid lubricant with many applications. Popularised by the "Liqui-Moly" brand, the compound is sometimes used as an additive in lubricating oils and greases, but it sometimes a stand-alone solid lubricant used in the aerospace industry and healthcare.
