In this video, I’ll be using Prussian blue, Payne's grey, Phthalo green, Jenkins green, and interference blue. These colors help me create depth and beauty in my paintings. I love how they come together on the canvas.
I start with a dark background, layering the canvas with water to give it a fluid look. As I paint, I find joy in the colors and the way they blend. This painting is coming together beautifully, and it's starting to look like an underwater scene, which makes me happy.
Creating this new piece, which I’ll call "Beneath the Waves," has been therapeutic. It looks like coral or seaweed growing underwater, with a transparent, blurry background and crisp, opaque plants in the foreground. The contrast creates a stunning depth that I love.
