Stan Love was an All American collegiate basketball player with a four year professional basketball career, but today his most famous basketball legacy is being the father of 5 time NBA all-star forward Kevin Love. When I met Stan in 1975 he was a member of the LA Lakers, but even back then he wasn’t the most famous member of the Love family, that honor went to his brother Mike, lead singer with the Beach Boys. I got Stan & Mike and the rest of the musical Love family together for this story in ’75 about Basketball & Beach Boys.
