🎆 Welcome back to the second part of my exhilarating Hakodate stopover! 🏔️
🏰 In this episode, I dive deeper into the charm of this historic city with a blend of culture, nature, and breathtaking views at the iconic Goryokaku, where we'll unravel the secrets of its star-shaped fortification.
🏯 Stepping onto its grounds feels like entering a portal to the past, where the whispers of history echo through the air. As we wander along the moats and ramparts, we're transported back to a time of samurai and shoguns, immersing ourselves in the rich heritage of Japan's feudal era. There's lots of cherry blossom trees and bonsais which are really well-maintained by Japanese horticulture, creating serenity and zen in the landscape.
🚠 But the adventure doesn't end there! Brace yourselves for a very graceful ascent to the summit of Mt. Hakodate via the Hakodate Aerial Ropeway, where panoramic vistas await, and it’ll take your breath away.
🌄 I took a full vlog on the ascend, and through that you’ll see the landscape changing beneath us like a vibrant tapestry, revealing Hakodate's beauty in all its glory. From the base of motomachi nestled with residential houses to the lush winter vegetation with bare trees, every moment is a snapshot of pure magic. And when I finally reach the summit, the breathtaking panorama is what makes this attraction a must-visit place!
🌌 But wait, there's more! What better way to end the day than with a spectacular display of fireworks at the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, igniting the night sky with colors and magic! Plus, there’s also the lighting up event of the big christmas tree in front of the mall at the bay.
