Lao Tzu, or Laozi in
Lao Tzu, or Laozi in other words, was an ancient Chinese philosopher who lived in the 5th or 6th century BC. He is known as the founder of the philosophy of Taoism or Daoism. The name "Laotse" means "teacher of Lao" and his real name is not known in history.
