Telling Stories with Sound: The Golden Age of Radio Drama

Sound and sound effects can help bring stories to life. While learning about the “Golden Age of Radio,” we’ll explore why the medium seemed to specialize in suspense and horror. We’ll discover how old-time radio’s sound designers came up with those cool (and super creepy) effects. Finally, we’ll produce our own spooky mini-drama inspired by old-time radio and give tips on how to record your own sound effects at home!
