Race for Moon heats up with launch of US Vulcan Centaur rocket • FRANCE 24 English

A new rocket dubbed the Vulcan Centaur blasted off this Monday from Cape Canaveral in Florida. Created by the Boeing-Lockheed Martin joint venture United Launch Alliance (ULA), it carries what could be the first commercial robotic lander to touch down on the Moon. If successful, this would be the first lunar landing mission to launch from the US since 1972. But the rocket's payload is causing some controversy, as FRANCE 24's Julia Sieger explains.
