1st F16 #Ozgur Delivered | PAF F16 Upgrades?
Turkey has launched its ÖZGÜR project, which is a modernization program to upgrade its F-16 Block 30 fleet with advanced avionics, electronic warfare systems, and weapons. The program is locally developed and consists of software and hardware designed and built in Turkey. The F-16 Block 30 fighter aircraft will receive structural modernization, as well as avionics modernization, which will include the installation of a new mission computer, cockpit displays, an AESA radar, and smart munitions. The ÖZGÜR project will only cover the Block 30 aircraft, and Turkey is also negotiating with Washington to purchase 80 Viper modernization packages to upgrade its Block 50 aircraft and wants to buy 40 new F-16 Block 70s.
