The special virtues of reading al-Baqarah are revealed in the history of Abu Umamah.  In this narration, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam said: اقْرَءُوا الزَّهْرَاوَيْنِ: الْبَقَرَةَ لَ انَ؛  ا انِ الْقِيَامَةِ ا ايَتَانِ، ا امَتَانِ ا انِ افَّ اجَّانِ ابِهِمَا اقْرَءُوا الْبَقَرَةِ؛  ا احَسْرَةٌ لَا ا الْبَطَلَةُ "Read 'two beautiful flower stalks', namely the letters al-Baqarah and Ali 'Imran.  Because both of them will come on the Day of Resurrection like a shelter, or like a protective cloud, or like a flock of birds spreading their wings and defending their readers.  So read Surah al-Baqarah, because in it there is blessing.  While leaving it is a loss.  Even the perpetrators of falsehood (the magicians) are not able to penetrate it, "(HR. Ahmad).  In fact, in Tafsir ats-Tsa'labi it is prioritized to read it on Friday night, "Whoever reads Surah al-Baqarah and Surah Ali 'Imran on Friday night, on the Day of Judgment will be replaced for him the wings that fly carrying them over Ash.  -Shirath."  (See: Tafsir Ats-Tsa'labi, volume 3, p. 5) The above hadith is supported by the hadith of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam narrated by Al-Hasan which states, "Remember, as empty as a house from goodness is an empty house from the book of Allah.  .  By the One who holds Muhammad's soul, Satan will come out of the house in which Surah al-Baqarah is recited," (HR. Ibn Mubarak).  The next virtue of reading Surah al-Baqarah is that it will be rewarded with a crown in heaven, as in the history of Ad-Darimi, "Whoever reads Surah al-Baqarah, then he will be crowned from him in heaven."  Including a special letter because the letter al-Baqarah is a "cob" of the Qur'an in which there is a verse of Chair.  Whenever the verse of the chair is read in the house occupied by the devil, the devil will come out, as in the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah.  لِكُلِّ امًا، امُ الْقُرْآنِ الْبَقَرَةِ، آيِ الْقُرْآنِ الْكُرْسِيِّ، لَا فِي بَيْتٍ وَفِيهِ انٌ لَّا “Everything has a hump.  And the hump of the Qur'an is the letter al-Baqarah.  In it there is a verse that is the "master" of the verses of the Qur'an, namely the verse of the Chair.  The verse is not read in a house in which there is a devil except that the devil will come out," (HR. Abdur Razzaq).  Not only in the house where the verse of the Chair is read, the blessing is also felt in the surrounding houses, as mentioned in the history of Ath-Thabrani, "Whoever reads the verse of the Chair after every prayer, nothing will prevent him from entering heaven except death.  And whoever reads it when he starts to lie down (sleep), then Allah will give security to his house, neighbor's house, and other houses around it, "(HR. Ath-Thabrani).  Meanwhile, in another narration, it is stated, "The person who reads the verse of the Chair after every fard prayer, then the position of that person is like a person who fights for the prophets of Allah until he is martyred," (HR. Ibn As-Sunni).  The specialty of Surah al-Baqarah is also found in the two closing verses which according to Ahmad's history were revealed from a warehouse from under the Throne.  In particular, the privileges of these two verses are also revealed in many narrations.  اللهَ ابًا لَ يَخْلُقَ السَّمَوَاتِ الْأَرْضَ لْفَيْ امٍ، لَ فَخَتَمَ ا الْبَقَرَةِ، لَا دَارٍ لَاثَ لَيَالٍ ا الشَّيْطَ “Indeed, Allah wrote the heavens and the earth a thousand years before creating the heavens and the earth.  From that book, Allah revealed two verses and used it to end Surah al-Baqarah.  So the two verses are not read in a house for three nights, then the devil approaches the house, "(HR. Ahmad).  Another virtue of reading the last two verses of Surah al-Baqarah one night is that the reward for performing qiyamullail is sufficient that night.  "Whoever reads the end of Surah al-Baqarah one night, the reward for reading the end of the letter will be sufficient for him the reward of praying that night."  That is the virtue of reading Surah al-Baqarah and the selected verses in it.  Wallahu 'nature.  Source: https://islam.nu.or.id/
