Hydrostatic Testing of Zippers

Water Pressure Test Summary

In December of 2013 hydrostatic pressure testing showed
that the YKK AquaGuard® VISLON® molded zipper was
the most resistant to leakage. Four sets of tests were made for
each zipper:

  • YKK AquaGuard® VISLON® held about 3.1 psi.
  • RiRi Storm held back around 2.2 psi.
  • Standard YKK molded held back around 0.6 psi.
