How to make a Radio Receiver from mostly household items. This is a great STEM starter project to learn basic electronics. Ideal for teachers, students & those starting in amateur radio & hobby electronics. This video was made for the Dublin Maker Faire. Suggested Items required:
Kitchen Roll Tubes x2
Greaseproof paper
Chocolate block connectors
Garden wire (or similar)
Telephone wire (or similar)
Detector Diode (BAT85 signal diode or OA81 germanium diode or equivalent)
Doorbell transformer (or similar)
Crocodile Clips
Clothes pegs
Sellotape
Plastic Milk Carton tops (or similar plastic to act as antenna isolators)
