WHY THIS COULD BE ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER ALFA ROMEO SPIDER'S!

S3 E8: We go for a drive in our latest inventory - the 1971 Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce.
We acquired this car through a friend that lead us to the owner. We knew it was going to be a good car when we learned he had purchased it in 1977 (Still has the 1977 Florida title!). 42 years of ownership with a spotless service history.
The Series two spider's - aka "Kamm tail" updated the spider from the famous "boat tail" Duetto's. The very first cars, like this one still have the same 1750 motor from the previous generation, before the 2000 (2L) upgrade. The 1750 motor is a very popular choice within the Alfa Romeo Community due to it's rev happy characteristics. Because this is a US Spec car, it was originally equipped with the mechanical fuel injected SPICA system, but now sports the Euro Spec dual side draft 40/40 carburetors, definitely creating a much more memorable driving experience with that infectious sound! We do however have the original SPICA system, saved by the previous owner. That will be included with the sale of the vehicle. We know that is important as collectors looking for originality.
Another great feature we love on this one is the factory covered headlights. It really adds the "classic" tough and in our option completes the beautiful fender lines.
The previous owner also updated the factory wheels to OEM Cromodora wheels back in the 80's. It reminds us of the factory Ferrari 308 wheels and that in fact was the thing to do back then. They look great!
An ANSA tail pipe was also added and probably the only thing we would change. What do you think?
In conclusion - the Spiders are such fun cars to drive and are the epitome of 70's Italian roadsters with a distinctive Pininfarina design. Not a lot of cars today can provide the bang for the buck that these little cars do. The 1971 in particualr will be a sought after classic due to 1st year design and last year motor.
