Acanthamoeba keratitis (Severe case, diagnosis, investigation, management) Evidence-based series

Acanthamoeba keratitis is a rare but potentially severe and sight threatening infection of the cornea.
Risk factors : Contact use, ocular foreign body, poor contact lens hygiene, exposure to soil, mud, stagnant pool with contact lens.  
Management includes pool clearner PHMB, chlorhexidine, brolene, and anti-fungal therapy.
