"ARGOSIES" FOR RAF

(19 Mar 1962) Our pictures show Armstrong Whitworth Argosy transport, ready for handing over to the RAF. Number 114 Squadron, Transport Command, is the first to have them. These new "Argosies" can carry 69 fully-equipped troops or 48 stretchers. As well as freight-carriers, they're handy for parachute-trooping and casualty evacuation.
