1) If you are interested in the purity of our nature, then you can help yourself. Therefore, I propose to sew an eco-friendly grocery bag.
I took the pattern of such a bag from a regular bag, cut the seams and pulled out the folds. And as always, the most suitable material for this is an old men's shirt, since the fabric is thin and always in good condition.
This bag is double, so you need to cut out four identical parts. If the shirt is large, then it will be enough to cut. My shirt is small, there wasn’t enough fabric, so I added fabric from another shirt to the fourth piece.
Sewing sequence:
1) I stitched the seams on the handles. We got two identical parts, folded them with their right sides facing inward and stitched them inside in a circle.
2) Turned it inside out and stitched the edge.
3) In order for the seam to be on the inside in the side parts, you need to unfold the bag along its length. Roll first on one side, turn the opposite side out, so you get a “roll” inside. Pin this edge with needles and stitch along the entire length. Turn out. Do the same on the other side.
4) As a result, all seams are inside.
5) Fold the sides lengthwise. Sew the center of the handles in the middle like a bag.
6) Sew a pocket in the middle.
7) Sew the sides.
8) Fold the bag and make a stitch at the bottom on the front side. Turn the bag inside out and sew another line, the open edge will be in the seam.
9) The handbag is ready. It easily folds into a pocket. You can always find a place in your bag for a small roll of fabric.
10) You can go to the store.
The result is the same as the bag from the supermarket, but there are more advantages: the bag does not tear, it is reusable, and will last for many years.

2) Everyone has a couple of almost new shirts in their closet that have not been worn for several years. You won’t throw them away, you won’t wear them to the garden, because the shirt fabric is almost always of excellent quality.
And it’s a pity to throw away clothes that have served “faithfully”, so it’s better to sew a new thing from such a shirt. I suggest sewing a decorative pillowcase from a shirt.
1) For a pillow 40x40 cm, I cut out two squares 42x42 cm. The front part with buttons will go to the back of the pillowcase, there are buttons and loops and this makes the work much easier.
2) From the remains of the shirt, I cut strips 6 cm wide for assembly.
These stripes will be the highlight of the pillow.
3) My shirt is small, so there wasn’t enough fabric, I had to add stripes from another fabric, it turned out even more beautiful.
4) I sewed the strips together and overcast the sections with a zigzag. The ends of the strip were cut off at an angle.
5) I folded and stitched one edge of the strip, and overlocked the other edge with an overlocker.
6) Where the overcasting made a line four and gathered the strip into gathers.
7) I found the middle on a straight square and started sewing the assembled part from there. At first I did it by hand to hide the stitching, and basted the rest of the ruffle in a spiral.
8) Then I stitched it on the machine.
9) I sewed two squares together and overcast them.
10) The tender marshmallow pillow is ready.
If you have good quality shirts that are intact, but they are no longer relevant, feel free to cut them and sew new things.
A pillowcase is a quick and easy way to update your sofa cushions!

3) Over the years, our husbands become larger in size, and their shirts, which have become small, are left hanging idle in the closets.
Since shirt fabric is always of good quality, it can be altered if it suits anyone, that is, me.
I've always loved this plaid shirt. I tried it on and it fit just right due to the fact that it was fitted.
I immediately came up with a design. The dress will be a little loose at the waist, in a boho style. This cut perfectly hides all figure imperfections and looks very fashionable and modern. If desired, you can put on a belt.
For the skirt, I bought 75 cm of blue cotton knitted fabric for 400 rubles per meter. I paid only 300 rubles for this piece. The fabric is circular, without seam, two meters long.
My master class:
1) To mark the waist line, you need to put on a shirt and tie a thread over it. It will lie on the waist line, mark its outline with chalk or a piece of soap. Cut off the excess.
2) Mark the length of the sleeve.
3) Sew belt loops to the shirt. We can say that the top of the dress is ready.
Skirt
1) I made the width of the skirt 80 cm, that is, I cut the fabric 1.60 m wide.
2) To evenly assemble the top of the skirt, I made two parallel lines at a distance of 2 mm.
3) Pull the bottom threads and gather the skirt so that it matches the waistline of the shirt.
4) I basted and then stitched these two parts together.
5) I processed the sections using an overlocker.
6) When you need to overcast two parts - one straight and the other assembled, then the assembled part should always be at the bottom, the presser foot stitches on a flat fabric
