The easiest way to attain the Lord is to chant the holy name in Kali Yuga. The Lord's Name is more powerful then the Lord himself. Lord Ram's name was put on the stones and they floated to create the bridge to Sri Lanka. Lord Ram himself tried to put a rock in the water and it sunk. All the powers of the Lord is put in His names.
Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu came in the mood of Srimati Radhika and internally he was Krishna and externally he took the golden colour of Srimati Radhika. He came in Kali Yuga to propagate the Hare Krishna Mantra and give Krishna Prema to everyone. There is no rules and regulations, no endeavor, no money to chant the holy Names in Kali Yuga to attain the Lord. Compared to the other Yugas chanting the Holy Names is the easiest process.
In Ramayana katha there was an oil merchant who was chanting Lord Ram's Names and was kicked by Hanuman in the back. When Hanuman returned to Ayodha Lord Ram was complaining about back pain and told Hanuman that when he kicked His Devotee he protected him and got the kick instead by Hanuman.
The Lords Names are innumerable. Chanting the Lords holy Names, listening with his ears to Harikatha and engaging his mouth to singing Kirtan a jiva soul is so fortunate in this Age of Kali. Lord Shiva said to Parvati, if you get a moments association all your life's sinfulness will go away. Krishna will come to listen to the glories of harikatha. Even Lord Brahma will come to listen.
Wherever there is Harikatha the place becomes a holy Tirtha. If you get the direct mercy of the Lord you will get invitation to come and listen to harikatha otherwise not able to attend. Lord Shiva says the ocean of harikatha, the topic of the world is like a crow. If you talk to people about mundane topics you will feel miserable but if you listen to Harikatha all your miseries will go away. Katha is nectar gives immortality and all your miseries go away and you get peace. The topmost donation is to give Harikatha.
Four wives of the King story:
The first wife, whatever she wanted the King gave to her; At time of death the King asked her to walk with him, she told him that she cheated on him. The King told her that he would not even walk one step with her, and she became very upset;
The second wife was the most beautiful. The King asked her will you walk with me and she said wants to marry someone else and the more King spoke she became more upset;
Third wife spoke with sweet words. When the King came home to talk to her she would speak nicely to him. I will take four steps with you but you are useless. She became upset and angry;
The fourth wife was neglected and she was always sad; The King said to her I love you the most so will you walk with me together? She became very angry and upset said that in all our time together you never paid any attention to me;
The first wife is about the body. We do anything for her, we cheat for her, we kill for her. There is no love here. Question is who do we love the most? We love the body the most, whatever the body wants we give.
The second wife is about money. She said I want to marry someone else. When we die money goes. When we leave the body too long the money goes. Buying clothes, car, house.
The third wife is a sweet talker. It's about relatives and wife;
The fourth wife is about bhakti yoga (devotional service)
