Rural Oral Health ECHO: Improving Oral Health Access through Innovative Programs

During the second of our 2024 Rural Oral Health ECHO sessions, Monica McKee, MPH, BSDH, RDH, Vice President of Allied Services at Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (@oklahomacityindianclinic8073) presented on the unique concept of Integrated Dental Hygiene (I-RDH) and how the clinic uses their I-RDH's to enhance medical-dental integration and improve health outcomes. Throughout the presentation, McKee offered insights into the role of I-RDHs in addressing oral health disparities, promoting oral-systemic health integration, the potential of integrated dental hygiene in fostering health equity, and how they can help advance oral healthcare delivery in rural communities.
