What They Don't Tell You About Bee Stings...
Can You Die From Bee Stings - Can You Build Immunity To Bee Stings
Bee Stings
Have you ever been stung by a bee? Are you allergic to bee stings? Do bee stings make you swell? These are questions that will people will often ask in relation to bees.
This video talks about my experience of bee stings and how I have built up tolerance to the effects of the venom from a honey bee.
What happens when a bee stings you is that the bee injects a small amount of venom into your body. Your body then has an immune response to the venom and this can cause a wide range of effects ranging from nothing to local swelling to anaphylactic shock.
What happens to a bee after it stings you? Its venom sack is pulled out of its body and the bee unfortunately dies. Bees will only sting if they consider you a threat.
A queen bee can sting multiple times and will not die even if she uses her sting.
Are you allergic to bees or are you asking the question; Am I allergic to bees? Some people have never been stung and do not know what the reaction to bee stings will be. Some people have major allergic reactions to bee stings and some people are able to build up a tolerance to bee stings through repeat bee stings.
Personally, I have a minor reaction to bee stings without the need to take any form of antihistamine such as piriton.
