here's a quick video documenting
here's a quick video documenting my drawing and coloring process on ms paint!
i've gotten a lot of comments on a drawing on the vocaloid amino app by people completely surprised i used ms paint for one of my drawings. i decided to make a video showing how i do it!
《 TRANSCRIPT 》
hello! this video is just an example of how i draw in ms paint. i don't have a mic so there will be captions. i will also be putting a transcript in the description. this is my first time doing a video like this so please bare with me. that being said, thank you so much for watching!
here's a quick sketch i did before recording. i line with the pencil usually on the 2 smallest sizes. be as messy as you want! get your ideas during this stage.
when i'm done lining, i get rid of the sketch with the eraser tool. this is where the color boxes come in handy. color 1 is the color you want to change. this color will be the sketch color. color 2 is the color you want to replace color 1 with.
since i'm gonna get rid of the sketch completely, this color will be the background color. i then click and hold right click and go over the drawing.
this trick is very handy when you don't want to ruin the line work you just did.
voila! a very easy cleanup.
note that this trick only works with the eraser tool so make sure to become great friends with it!
quick tip: hold ctrl and + on the number pad to increase the tool size beyond your available options.
since i work small, i don't really find the need to use really big sizes. the only time i do is when i'm ready to erase the sketch.
here i'm using the same technique i used to erase the layer to shade. now you can shade without ruining your hard work as well!
this next trick is one i don't use often, but find very handy when using a color i want to be "see-through". using the marker tool, i lay down the color my see-through color will "intersect" with. i then lay the see-through color on top to create the intersecting color. the blush isn't a good example, but hopefully you understand what i mean!
i add my finishing touches and voila! this is my drawing and color process in ms paint. i hope you found this video helpful, even if a little, and thank you for watching! :3
《 Tools 》
Program: MS Paint (duh)
Tablet: Bamboo Connect
Recorder: Hypercam 2
