Troop 501 participates in the 2016 Trauma Rama Camporee.
Four Districts from NCAC brought together hundreds of scouts supported by hundreds of volunteers.
Scouts learned first aid, search and rescue and emergency preparedness skills.
In the afternoon, the scout participated in a mass casualty event: a simulation of a plane crash in a wooded area.  Scouts took to the woods and fields searching for wreckage and victims.  Injured victims were treated in the field before being transported to trama centers and then on to field hospitals before evacuated to medical facilities.
It was a great exercise and hopefully one that will become a tradition!
