Requirements Exchange using ReqIF in the automotive industry using DOORS Next and ReqIF-Manager

In the automotive industry the exchange of requirements in ReqIF Format between OEMs and Suppliers is an established standard process for about a decade. Nevertheless, implementing a smooth exchange process can be challenging especially after switching from DOORS to DOORS Next Generation. This session will explore some of these challenges including: the impact of implementing global configurations, the difficulty orchestrating the exchange of requirements with multiple suppliers,and the requirement to map the type system received from an OEM into the company standard type system. The session will then demonstrate how these challenges may be overcome enabling OEMs and suppliers to exchange requirements smoothly utilizing the power for DOORS Next Generation, without the common pitfalls of ReqIF Exchanges.
