In the Maghreb countries of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, the music from Al Andalus, the Arabic name for southern Spain as a former part of the Arab Empire, is still very much alive.
Marmoucha Orchestra conducted by Avishai Darash sheds light on this traditional Andalusian music and with none other than Bayane Belayachi, Syrine Ben Moussa and Brahim Hadj Kacem .
